Well, after weeks of talking about getting certified and with the clock winding down, Bree finally completed her certification with barely a week to go. Her and I were now both certified open water divers and could easily join a dive charter in the Bahamas while on our cruise together. Things could not have been more perfect.
I had just graduated from the University Of Miami the week prior to the cruise and had begun my first week of work. My family chose to take Bree and I on a Carnival cruise in order to celebrate, and we were happy to oblige. Immediately upon arriving on the island, Bree and I inquired about Stuart Cove's famous shark dive but were disappointed to hear it was completely booked. However, we gathered ourselves and decided to book their two tank dive. It was exciting to dive down to 70ft on the first dive, and then to see our first ever wrecks at the Thunderball site.
Have you ever been diving in the Bahamas? Ever been able to take advantage of their famous shark dive? Let us know in the comments! And make sure to check out Slideshow: Bree's Certification (Shark Feeding).
